"My mom was going to a funeral. She said that she had to choose between that, or $50,000. She said she was definitely going to the funeral instead. I was a little irritated, but for some reason not that mad, like there was some string attached to getting the $50,000, but I believe it was a small one. Later, she said that she needed to take out some kind of loan, it wasn't a loan but it was something like that, to get $50,000, and then I got really angry and pissed because she could just get the $50,000 instead of going to the funeral."

The funeral was for her friend's dad. In real life, if that happened, I would freak out if she chose funeral over $50,000, I mean, freak.
