I remember when I bought The Dead Zone off from eBay, the box for it made me laugh. It said these things: "Three and a Half Stars!", "The best Stephen King adaptation, next to Misery (by the way, I'm reading Misery now)". It kept saying things that weren't the best, but close to it. I'm accustomed to seeing comments like "The best movie of the summer", not "The second best movie of the summer, next to X-Men III" or something. Now I see them doing this on TV! They're saying "Critics Rave that this show is an A-, a must watch." That minus, that really sounds bad. A Minus. I don't want to watch something that is a minus, I want a motherfiretrucking A-PLUS! What's this world coming to when media can't even promote itself right.

Movies are kind of like people's (regular people's) lives. You come out, you're bright, everybody is paying attention to you. That goes on for awhile. Then your 20s, and now the movie has been out for awhile, and people are not caring as much anymore. Yep, that's the 20s. But then the worst part comes, the mid-30s. That's when the movie is out of theatres, and nobody is watching you, except for a few bootleggers. Finally, you get old, and you can't care for yourself, and that's when you come out on video. People start paying attention to you again, mainly because they have to or you'll die, but more of their time is on the new releases. Wow, that is so deep.
