Wow, big news recently. Guess where I got this big news? The news! That's right... didn't see that coming. I think this news proves why old people can't drive. It's one of the most hilarious things I've ever heard. This 89 year old guy was driving, and he mistook the brake for the accelerator, and drove high speed into a building and killed a few people, I forget the exact number. Now he's going to spend 18 years in jail for vehicular manslaughter (although it might as well be life. Am I right people?). What makes it even worse is that this guy doesn't have any remorse for what he did! That's horrible, how can you not feel bad about killing someone? And that's a bad way to die, get hit by an old person because he hit the gas instead of the brake. I hope this guy dies, which he will not too long from now.
Speaking of jail sentences, I found out that the life sentence is rarely used. I've been watching trials and the judge is like "I sentence you to 183 years in prison," and one guy even "483 years in prison". My numbers might be a little off but one was in the 180s and another was in the 480s. What is the point of that! Just say life! Nobody is going to live past 110, and by the time you're 80 in jail you're too weak to win the shank fights. Capital punishment, convicting the innocent, no, that's not what's wrong with our court system, it's this damn years-instead-of-life-sentencing. There's nothing worse in the world than when something doesn't make sense.
