I had an awesome paintball match yesterday. It was quite cool, but I won't bore you with the amazing battle scenes and bullet-time-like dodgings. Except one. I was trying to sneak up on my friend, but unbeknownst to me he had seen me, and was moving away. I saw him and I chased him, hiding from tree to tree as he fired upon me. Eventually he hid behind some bark and I ran to a tree like 10 or 15 feet away, which was very close. As I ran to the tree, I slipped, and as I got up my friend shot me in the shoulder. However, I was fine and started shooting back. We were snap shooting for like 20 seconds at that range because I hit him in the face, and some of the splatter went through the mouth holes and onto his face. It was awesome.
A bit later, my friend found a dead tree, and he gave me his gun as he started to kick it over. Somehow, the top half of it broke in half (it was like 15-20 feet high), and it started to fall. It was heading for my head, it could have seriously injured, or, although unlikely, killed me. Instead of acting like one of those people in movies who just scream and put up their hands as something comes toward them, I dived out of the way. As soon as I landed, I immediately (and I mean immediately) screamed, "Awesome!" It was so cool, I mean, I saw the thing coming down, and I dived out of the way just in time, and it was kind of hard since I was holding two paintball guns. Something similar happened the day before; I was shaking this huge vine that was coming down from a tree, and a huge stick hanging from it fell off and landed one foot behind me, and a few seconds later, one fell two or three feet in front of me. I thought it was awesome but my friend didn't think it was so cool, although he agreed that when I dived out of the way of the falling half-tree that it was amazing. By the way, here's the gun I bought, since my 98 Custom was stolen, as I've said.
