Funny Stories

This story is a true story that happened to me, and there are no exaggerations or truth-bendings. It is completely true. Date of Entry: 8/25/06

This particular story has nothing to do with the previous two stories, so there's no reason for me to link you to them. If you haven't read them and want to, they're on the two previous pages. Yep. Okay, so here's the story. One day I was on the Internet, and I get an IM (on MSN) from a guy named Mike. He says he wants to make a GPT (Get paid to) program, and he wants my help on a good idea for one. We talk for awhile, and I tell him about paid to promote, as in people show other people their referral link and they get money. He likes the idea, and makes a rough prototype for the site. He calls it Rewardhits. I just checked, and it's still alive (rewardhits.com). I wish it was dead. Anyways, he makes it, and he decides on a HitCash system. Instead of people getting a flat rate, they get HitCash, a pretend currency which is exchanged for real money.

To this day I am not sure if anybody has been paid. What I do know is that it was officially launched in November of 05 and as of June of 06 nobody has been paid. Let me say this, it is the stupidest program ever, I don't know why people still use it. It's almost impossible to get paid, and I could LITERALLY make more money in 20 minutes doing online work than a person who works 3 months in that program.

So, let me get back to the beginning. Mike set up the Hitcash system, and I didn't like it. In fact, he said people should get 100 HitCash per unique visitor they send, but I managed to get him down to 10 HitCash, since I couldn't convince him to pay actual real, flat rates. So, he made it, and had me pay for the domain and hosting. So I paid $7 for the domain Rewardhits.com, and $10 for hosting. He uploaded it and such, then hacked a forum called GPTResources, accessed the admin panel, and sent out an email to every single member. That got over 300 members to join, or something. I ended up working with the admin of GPTResources to help fix the glitch which Mike used to hack the forum. I had to ask Mike how he did it, he thought I was undercover for the admin but I convinced him I wasn't. Big mistake on his part. And even though the admin fixed the glitch, Mike didn't suspect that I had anything to do with it. Well, after about a week, Mike sold Rewardhits to a guy named Frank for $105. He said he'd give me half, but he never did, and I haven't talked to him since he told me how much he got for selling it (and telling me I'd get 1/2). So, a Rewardhits forum was set up, and I go on the forum telling everybody that I was the idea man behind the program and I funded it. People were all like "Awesome". Secretly, I hated the program, not just because I didn't get any money for it's being sold, but because it was a horrible idea. After my introduction thread explaining who I was, I created a thread that has resulted in me making hundreds and hundreds of dollars.

As you may or may not know, it's probably the former, I am a member of TreasureTrooper. I have my referral link on the homepage. Many people on TreasureTrooper go onto lots of forums, making topics and trying to get referrals. I have done this as well. Members try so hard to get referrals creating topics, but the result is usually the topic is locked, deleted, or they get 1-5 referrals from the topic. I created a topic on Rewardhits... I wasn't even TRYING to get referrals, and I was INSULTING the program (subtly, of course), and I got over 350 referrals, in a thread I wasn't even trying to get referrals in. When I put my referral link in the thread I created, I only put my referral link in for added spite. I didn't expect any referrals, in fact, I expected the topic to get locked. But apparently since I helped create Rewardhits, the mod looked the other way. Oh, perhaps you're wondering about the topic. Here it is:
Magic Topic

As you can see, I was insulting Rewardhits, but the members and mods were too stupid to realize. Funny stuff. So, I got hundreds of referrals and they made me hundreds of dollars. Makes up for the $17 I was never paid back, aye? HA HA. Well, at one point a mod replaced my referral link with his, and that pissed me off, so I had to always keep watch over the topic to make sure my link wasn't replaced. Oh, and another thing you might have noticed is that I am banned. Interesting, I'm probably the only person in history who was an integral part in creating a website, and then became banned from it by a stupid mod. That's interesting, isn't it? And how did I get banned? Well, that is partly (and by partly I mean completely) due to this:
The Topic That Got Me Banned

Sure a lot of reading material I've provided, but if you have read it all, you know how intriguing it really is. So, that got me banned, and I haven't been there since, except to link people to those topics. This is the last of my interesting stories. If I have anymore, I will post them. AHHH!! I knew I was forgetting something! There is one more interesting story that I have forgot about. Continue to the next page to read.
